Disclosure

In order to save us all some time, I will occasionally list products, literature or gadgets that I either use, consume, have reviewed or otherwise enjoy on this site. Because of this, and because the FTC requires bloggers to provide disclosures when there are, possibly, hidden interests or unspoken biases related to any recommendations we make on our sites, when reading through my site, here are a couple of promises:

  • Since, in my view, there’s nothing worse than the scammers, con artists, and scumbags out there pushing things like Acai berry miracles, male enhancement pills, and other crap, I promise never to do that.
  • I will occasionally review and endorse products on this site.  In some cases, I may have received a free copy of the product to review it.  In some cases, I may decide to become an affiliate of the product. However I do not, and will not, accept payment for any product review, nor do I take part in link exchanges of any kind.
  • I may choose to become an affiliate of products which I believe are truly helpful to my customers or reader, which means I may receive a commission on purchases made through any links I provide.
  • Any recommendations I may provide are, first and foremost, based on the merit of the product.  I’d make these recommendations either because of my true review of the product, the product’s value and quality, or based on my knowledge of the author’s expertise on the subject and his/her reputation.

Some of the consequences of the FTP disclosure requirements are, for instance, that if I interview someone and they grab the bill for lunch, I would need to specify this. I would also have to specify that I use an Amazon link that gets me 8 cents instead of an Amazon link that gets me 0 cents. If someone gives me a cool t-shirt with a logo and I wear it in a photo, the same thing applies. We need to put disclaimers all over.

This would be tedious for me and a continual eye-sore for readers. But the government said I have to, so in the spirit of “rules are rules”, along with my need to cover my a** and preserve your reading experience, please assume that, for every recommendation, link, and product I use, the following all hold true:

FTC Disclaimer: Writer got SWAGFTC Disclaimer: Writer got stocksFTC Disclaimer: Writer got moneyFTC Disclaimer: Writer got gadgetsFTC Disclaimer: Writer got food

While it certainly is not always the case, you should assume that I have an affiliate relationship and/or another material connection to the providers of goods and services mentioned on wickedstrongbootcamps.com.  You should always perform due diligence before buying goods or services from anyone via the Internet or offline.
